Welcome to the homepage of Ohio State University's Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) student chapter!

The Ohio State SIAM Student Chapter, a local chapter of the larger Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, was established in September 2014 and is a group for students, faculty, staff, and visitors interested in applied math. Our goal is to foster an interdisciplinary STEM community at Ohio State, and we organize professional and social events for undergrad and graduate students.

The OSU SIAM Student Chapter is responsible for a variety of events including:

  • Information panels: Applying to Grad School

  • Industry events: Analytics, consulting, financial engineering, etc.

  • The annual OSU Mathematical Contest for Modeling

  • Social events: Pi Day celebration

  • Finals prep & cookie events

  • And more! Take a look at the our events page for details!

All are welcome to join the Chapter and participate in events - if you would like to get involved or learn more, email andrejek.1@osu.edu. We hope to see you at our next event!

If you would like to collaborate with us on an event, please contact us!

We are supported by the Department of Mathematics and SIAM.
